Bike rental Siargao — FAQ
Common questions about bike rental, cycling routes and trip logistics on Siargao Island. Can't find your answer? Ping us on WhatsApp or via the contact form.
Booking & reservations
How do I reserve a bike?
The fastest way is WhatsApp or the contact form. Tell us your dates, the bike type and where you're staying. We confirm in a few hours.
How far in advance should I book?
In high season (December–April), 1–2 weeks ahead is safe. Off-season, 2–3 days is usually fine. Last-minute is possible but the popular models go first.
Do you take a deposit?
A refundable ₱2,000 deposit on pick-up (or equivalent on the longer-term rentals). Returned in full if the bike comes back in the same condition.
What if I need to cancel?
Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start. Inside 24 h, we keep ₱500 to cover the holding cost. We're flexible — talk to us.
Do I need a driver's license?
No — cycling and pedal-assist e-bikes don't require a license in the Philippines.
On the island
Can you deliver the bike to my hotel?
Free delivery in General Luna and the Cloud 9 area. Other zones (Pacifico, Burgos, Del Carmen) on request with a small fuel fee.
What if I get a flat tyre or a mechanical issue on the road?
We provide a tube + plug kit + mini-pump with every rental. If you can't fix it, call us and we come pick you up — flat fee depending on distance.
Where can I charge an e-bike?
Anywhere with a normal power outlet. The battery is removable — most riders bring it to their accommodation overnight.
Is a helmet included?
Yes — every rental includes a quality helmet, plus a lock and a phone holder.
Route planning
Which bike should I pick for a week in Siargao?
A gravel bike covers 90 % of use cases on Siargao. Road if you only stick to the asphalt. E-bike if you're a non-cyclist or want zero effort.
Can I do the full island loop in one day?
Yes — the 127 km Coconut Road Loop is doable in one day for a fit rider starting at sunrise. We have it as a published route with GPX.
Easier routes for beginners?
The 26 km General Luna Easy Loop is the right call. Flat, mostly paved, scenic villages.
Best season to cycle Siargao?
January–April is the cycling sweet spot. Driest months, calmest winds, cooler mornings. May–September is humid but ridable.
Can I cycle with kids?
Yes — the General Luna Easy Loop or shorter sections of the Circumferential Road work great with confident teenagers. We can adapt the gear (smaller frames available on request).
